I CAN’T WAIT TO GET BACK HOME – SAM STOBBART YESTERDAY

EVIL Raoul Moat’s ex-girlfriend Sam Stobbart looks carefree and relaxed yesterday as she leaves the hotel where she has been hiding for the past 10 days.

Showing no outward signs of her wounds, the 22-year-old hairdresser said: “I can’t wait to get back home.”

But she admitted to feeling uncertain about facing the outside world again after her ordeal in Vigo, Birtley, near Gateshead, when her lover was shot dead by Moat.

Sam, who was also shot, said: “Obviously I am a bit nervous of going back because of everything that’s happened. I’m not sure how people will react.”

And at the door of the hotel in Durham, she finally revealed she had spoken to Moat hours before he shot her and murdered Chris Brown, 29.

But she hit back at the letter from his uncle Charlie Alexander – who claimed she had “blood on her hands” for telling Moat that Chris was a police officer even though she knew he hated cops.

Sam insisted Moat, 37, knew it was a lie – adding: “I don’t think anyone in his family is big enough to apologise for his appalling crimes
